Lord of Shadows Review

I will first give you, the unedited review, this is what I felt and thought when I first finished the book. Be wary, it contains so many spoilers you will have to jump to the end of it if you do not want to know what happens at the end of the book. You have been warned.

Outlander & Dragonfly in Amber “Review”

Author: Diana Gabaldon

Where to start? I like them enough, but I had already watched the first 2 season of the series, and I must say they are pretty similar to the books, I could easily picture Sam Heugham and Caitriona Balfe while reading, although Jamie is much taller in the books.

Brianna and Roger on the other hand, are nothing like in the books, sorry for the actor and actress who portray them, but they did not work for me, one bit.

Lady Midnight

Do I need to say is by Cassandra Clare? You probably already know that, but there I said it. Now, I might have to warn you that this review could contain some minor spoilers, that I might talk a lot about Julian Blackthorn, and that I freaking loved it! Even more so than the other 10, I was as surprised as anyone else, because I love TMI and Clockwork Princess became one of my favorite books, but Lady Midnight was just too F**king Awesome!

And I know you will enter my chaotic thought process… thank you for being here. What you are about to read has some minor spoilers and it was written during and shortly after I read LM.

Clockwork Angel… short review

By Cassandra Clare

I should really wait until I finish all three books, which is what I was going to do before writing this, oh! Well, I am doing it right now.

Have you read The Mortal Instruments? I hope you have, because they are so completely awesome, but this is about what happened before Clary, Jace, the Lightwoods, and Simon all got together to save the world.

The Sweetest Dark Series

By Shana Abé

Well hello readers! Here we are again. Another book or books, another post full of my inner thoughts.

If you are a regular to Books Everywhere, then you might know Ms. Shana Abé author of the Drákon Series and many other books. The Drákon Series is by far one of my favourite stories, and of course Shana is one of my absolute favourite authors, since she is one of the few who actually makes me read descriptions and pay attention to the little things in a book because if you don’t know them, then you end up completely lost and have to go back a chapter or two and find out what truly happened.

But enough of that you are reading this because you want a new book to read or you love these two in The Sweetest Dark Series. Let us begin.

The Sweetest Dark

It was a damn good one, even if I cried like the soft girl I am inside with it. I didn’t think another book about Drákon would be this good and don’t get me wrong, is nothing against anyone is just that The Smoke Thief, The Time Weaver, and The Dream Thief were just freaking awesome and the other 2, Queen Of Dragons and The Treasure Keeper were just as good, but you see which ones would be my pick to travel with. Going back to TSD is set many years after, it can be read as a stand-alone, however, I highly recommend to read the others first.

In this one, the author show us once more that she can confuse you to the point of craziness, and then you are like: Oh!! That’s what happened, that wasn’t what I imagined at all.

Characters

I thought Jesse was great, an amazing character as well as Eleanore. I don’t know what to say about Jesse, other than that he is so loveable… by the end of it all, I was sighing each time he made an appearance.

Eleanore, the female lead is something else entirely. And you must know by now, how I don’t say that about all female characters because most of the time, they annoy me. But she didn’t and it makes me happy when that happens, so I won’t have to write anything bad about a female.

Take Me Tomorrow

By Shannon Thompson

“Tomorrow can take me.” Truest words spoken and we knew it was getting good.

Take Me Tomorrow a truly different twist in the dystopian category.

The Book

Let it be known, I am not encouraging drug use because we all know that’s bad, but wouldn’t we want to take a pill that would show you the future? Or at the very least, a glimpse of it?

I confess at first it took me something to get a move on, meaning I had other books in mind and didn’t read a lot of this one but after some time it really started to grasp my attention and I became a bit addicted to it, I wanted to know once and for all what the heck was going on.
Shannon Thompson truly knows how to keep you in suspense, and even though you think you know what’s going to happen or if you guessed something, there’re other moments in the book where you say: What The F…?????

I have to say that dystopian novels are not my first choice when it comes to reading or writing, and perhaps that’s why it took me a while to finish the book but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t good because it is. And when you get it for free as in, a gift from the author and a request to make a review then you feel kind of on a cloud, hey! for me it was a big deal. So thank you for asking Shannon, I truly enjoyed reading about a cute Guy with some trouble and a female character that didn’t make me want to get my hand inside the screen of my phone and shake her.

Sophia

Like I just said, one of the few heroine who doesn’t take Sh*** from anyone and she kicks ass… from the start. Let’s be honest most of the women in this era of books, or the YA and of the sort, go through 3000 things before they realise, they have to fend for themselves and not make gooey eyes and think of themselves as un-pretty, hey, tell me it doesn’t make you want to screen in frustration? If the answer is no, then you’re lying.

Some spoiler from here on… read if you have already read T.M.T
