The Hunger Games Trilogy – Review

Author: Suzanne Collins

Well it took me about 5 to 6 years to read them but here I am, and I am done with all of them, I think I broke my own personal record with this one, I read all three books in two weeks give or take. Maybe you are saying that is not fast but between work and life, it is fast.

I really did not have any intention of reading them anytime soon but for some reason, re watching The Hunger Games movies made me want to read, I picked them up and started with the first line that I already knew, and then got past it, the weird first person narrative. And then I couldn’t stop, I knew the whole story but it was an easy read, and it was good to read something as if for the second time, since I really like the movies I didn’t know how I would feel with the books.

I cannot really say which I like best, so I will leave it at: they are both good.

Outlander Series (Voyager + Drums of Autumn)

Diana Gabaldon

I should probably start off with Voyager, and I will try to look pass the things that I did not enjoy.

I read it fast and not just because it was the first book in this series where I already knew what would happen, but because I read as fast as I could over the parts where Claire was on her own.

Spoilers ahead if you have not read these 2 books, so kindly stop if you have not read.

Lord of Shadows Review

I will first give you, the unedited review, this is what I felt and thought when I first finished the book. Be wary, it contains so many spoilers you will have to jump to the end of it if you do not want to know what happens at the end of the book. You have been warned.

Outlander & Dragonfly in Amber “Review”

Author: Diana Gabaldon

Where to start? I like them enough, but I had already watched the first 2 season of the series, and I must say they are pretty similar to the books, I could easily picture Sam Heugham and Caitriona Balfe while reading, although Jamie is much taller in the books.

Brianna and Roger on the other hand, are nothing like in the books, sorry for the actor and actress who portray them, but they did not work for me, one bit.

Shadowhunters Season 2 (Part 2)

6 – 10

Alright, we are gathered here once more to talk about what we love… I assume you love it if you are reading this, so thank you for reading.

I should have posted this long ago, I know but the new episode is right around the corner (June 5, in case you did not know, along with the new season of Stitchers *smiling*), and I felt it my duty to fill in some blanks for all to know and be on the lookout for what should be happening next in the show. Now or never was the time.

5 Quotes from Books

I was just thinking about all the wonderful quotes from books that I love and decided to share a couple (alright, not a couple but 5) with you lads and lasses, simply to make your day and see if we share the same tastes today.

Honestly we may love many quotes from many books, so choosing only 5 is kind of difficult but if you want more, you can always go to my Pinterest or Twitter or Facebook and find more there, I might not post daily but there are some quotes there that I think you will want to share. Oh! Also my Tumblr, either in Spanish or English.

Shadowhunters Season 2

Ep- 01 to 05

Alright, here we go!

First let me eat a piece of chocolate and relax for a sec, then we will start this off… ok, I’m good to go!

It was all going so well, Shadowhunters was back, everyone looks AMAZING, the new characters are all very nice, and then… Episode 4 happened! And my reaction was not normal, I spent the rest of that ep wondering what was going on and why were they doing such a thing, and then it was over, and then Episode 5 happened and I did not know whether to wait for Malcolm Fade to appear at any moment or for the Angel to suddenly burst into the screen and awe us with its presence, alas none of that happened. Now, from here on there might be some major spoilers if you have not read the books or watched the series, so I suggest some caution.

Just to be clear: All that I write next is for the good of letting it all out of my mind and chest, but I love Shadowhunters the show and all its actors and actresses.

Seven Years to Sin (Review… sort of)

Sylvia Day

Well, if you are into romance and historical, and as a plus adult fiction than you most definitely will absolutely love what goes down with Lady Jessica and the rather rakish Mr. Alistair Caulfield

Alright, let me honest with this one… Sylvia Day has an excellent imagination and the few books I have read of her have been really great, she does has a lot of books under her name and reading them all in less than a month would be viable… if only the to-read list with many amazing authors and promising titles was not as long as it is.

Lady Midnight

Do I need to say is by Cassandra Clare? You probably already know that, but there I said it. Now, I might have to warn you that this review could contain some minor spoilers, that I might talk a lot about Julian Blackthorn, and that I freaking loved it! Even more so than the other 10, I was as surprised as anyone else, because I love TMI and Clockwork Princess became one of my favorite books, but Lady Midnight was just too F**king Awesome!

And I know you will enter my chaotic thought process… thank you for being here. What you are about to read has some minor spoilers and it was written during and shortly after I read LM.

The Infernal Devices: Review and Thoughts

By Cassandra Clare

I’ll try to make this quick…

I tend to say that but considering that I have to talk about Jem, Will and Tessa that might not be entirely true this time… oh! And Gideon as well as Gabriel and Cecily but the latter two will not be that much in my ramblings…

What to say that has not been said before? I know, lots of things! Because never in my wildest dreams (cue in Taylor Swift’s song in the background if you want) would have I imagined that Cassandra could surprise me or make me love even more characters from the Shadow World, Jem is almost certainly perfect, Tess can be a little bit annoying but by book 3 you wanted to be like her or have her luck, that was when you were not crying over the events on that book, as for Will Herondale… what can I say? You might have thought he was just like Jace but in the end he really wasn’t, not entirely.

But that is enough for the overview, I will give you a bit of what I thought as I was reading Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess, since Clockwork Angel is pretty much done in that link you just overlooked.
